Better than just using a plain shiny metal hook!
Almost didn't purchase because I just wasn't sure that I would need it. Was planning to use it to hang up a mesh princess canopy over my daughter's bed, once I received the canopy, I noticed it had a hook with it, a teeny tiny cheap looking hook, this one looks SO MUCH BETTER!!! So glad I bought it!!! Thank you!!

Easy to install and holds a lot
Once I saw the pictures on the back about how to install these hooks, it was super easy. Just needed a drill with a drill bit large enough for the foldable piece to go through. Once it was installed, I hung a large potted plant from the hook and it has held up for months. If I get more plants, I'll be sure to get more hooks just like this.

worked great for what we needed it for.

This hook has SWAG. Seriously, holds super heavy hanging plants with ease
I love this hook. It's got swag in the title! Pretty sure they didn't expect swag to have the connotations it has now but whatever. My super giant heavy hanging pothos plant hasn't fallen down and killed me yet so this hook is dope

Nostalgic
These haven’t changed a bit in 50 years!

Holds a heavy chandelier very well. If any mishaps, I'll update.

Just what I needed!
Just what I needed to hang my macrame in our spare bedroom. It was easy to install and since I do not plan on hanging anything with much weight, I simply just used the drill bit to make my hole and screwed the hook in without using the insert. Works for me!

Useful and sturdy
I used these hooks in my drywall ceiling. One is screwed into the drywall and a beam behind it. The other is just in the drywall. I could not use the anchor clip as I didnt have a 5/8 drill bit to make a large enough opening in the drywall to put the anchor clip through. The hook still feels secure holding a ratcheting cable with a clamp light lamp with an LED grow light in it. These hooks are fantastic.

The Best
This is the one and only best way to hang something from the ceiling. So many difficult things out there. This is sooo easy. Drill a hole in the ceiling big enough for the "flapper" to fit through closed. Attach the "flapper" to the screw and the screw to the hook. Insert flapper end first into the hole. Pull gently while screwing the hook up towards the ceiling and the flapper opens up inside and you can hang heavy things. Wonderful!

works great!
works perfect and looks great to hold up the canopy over my daughter's bed. It felt super secure. I'm a mom and installed this myself - no problem. But you do need a hand drill. The instructions are just fine, but microscopic print on the package :-D so get your magnifying glass out. hee hee. Here is the canopy - FYI. Love it! https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B072N8HNXD/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
